Life, AD&D, and Disability
We are committed to safeguarding our colleague's financial wellbeing and stability in times of difficulty. When life happens, our Life, AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment) and Disability benefits offer crucial financial protection.

Basic Life Insurance & AD&D
Your Basic Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage is managed by MetLife, at no cost to you. Basic Life Insurance provides a financial benefit to a designated beneficiary upon the policyholder's death. Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance offers additional coverage specifically for accidental death or severe injury resulting in loss of limbs or senses.

Voluntary Life Insurance and AD&D
Voluntary Life Insurance is an optional policy that colleagues can choose to purchase to provide financial protection for their beneficiaries in case of death. Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, a supplement to life insurance, offers extra coverage in the event of accidental death or certain severe injuries.
Whole Life Insurance
Whole Life Insurance from MetLife offers colleagues permanent life insurance that provides coverage for the insured’s entire lifetime, as long as premiums are paid. This insurance allows colleagues to keep their coverage if they change jobs, and it doesn't coordinate with other insurance benefits. The only opportunity to enroll in the Whole Life Policy is during the Open Enrollment period, which takes place each year in the fall.

Disability
Disability benefits are financial assistance programs to support individuals who have a disability and are unable to work or face significant challenges in daily life due to their condition. These benefits aim to provide financial stability and access to essential services, such as healthcare or vocational rehabilitation, to improve the quality of life for disabled individuals.

Long-Term Disability
Long-Term Disability insurance is offered through MetLife. This benefit will become effective at the time the colleague has maxed out the short-term disability and is eligible for the LTD coverage. LTD insurance will cover 60% of the colleague’s salary, up to a maximum of $10,000 per month.
